The point lookout community centre is positioned within the trees adjacent to the beach. The buildings skillion roofs incorporate solar passive design that allows natural light and ventilation to enter the building.

 

The spatial arrangement of the building creates an opportunity for indoor-outdoor spaces and interaction with the natural environment. The weatherboards, fibre cement sheeting and colorbond corrugated iron finishes also contribute to the building's relationship to the site.
